A 19th century antique copper fish pot, or poissonnière, crafted in France. This long, rectangular vessel was traditionally used for poaching whole fish and reflects the practical elegance of country kitchenware. It is made of copper and features a large forged iron handle secured with rivets. The pot remains in excellent condition with a rich, polished patina that enhances its character. A sturdy and versatile piece, it can still be used for cooking or repurposed as a decorative jardinière or displayed atop kitchen cabinetry.
