Originally made for the 'age of discovery seiko 6m13' wristwatches that had a 1100 years calendar. It came out starting in 1991 to commemorate the year 1492 where columbus discovered america. This watch had a calendar that went from 1400 to 2499 and was probably one of the most complex watches seiko offered at that time.
