This hand-crafted brass incense brazier is built in the form of an Ottoman domed structure, its pierced lid designed not merely to release fragrance but to cast light and smoke in patterns through its openwork arabesques.

Placed in a dim room with an ember inside, it becomes something closer to a lantern than a vessel. It is sold as a complete set with its own hand-chased presentation tray, arriving ready to be placed and used or displayed without further arrangement. At 40 x 40 cm it carries genuine physical presence.

The lid is the defining achievement of this piece. Formed in the shape of a ribbed Ottoman dome, its entire surface has been pierced by hand in an interlocking arabesque pattern, each void cut individually into the brass sheet.

The body sits on a pedestal foot with a hand-engraved collar and a twisted rope border pressed in relief around the base junction. The goblet-form bowl is engraved across its surface with circular medallion compositions, each containing densely worked floral and foliate detail. The presentation tray is a substantial work in its own right.
