The design is composed of a tall, reclined back with gracefully curved squared arms, and a wide, grounded base. The rattan frame has a subtle wingback or throne chair profile and large scale. The entire chair is executed in a tight seagrass and wicker basket weave accented by braided, rope-like trim along the rails and corners. Decorative open-work windows in the panels on the front and back give the chair an airy layer of depth. The generously proportioned seat is topped with a cushion in a tailored neutral striped with a subtle red accent. The refined overall result blends California Coastal, Tropical, and Organic Modern styles, making a piece suitable for a number of interiors. The chair is sturdy and solid having excellent joinery and craftsmanship in exceptional condition as seen in photos. Ralph Lauren maker's tag is present on the seat.
