Offered is a mid 20th Century glazed ceramic decorative "Bird" pitcher/decanter/vase designed by Edmund Ronaky for Jaru Pottery. The long arched handle resembles a swan's neck, and the spout, a beak.
This piece is a pool blue shade of turquoise with splashes of lime green on the saddle and neck, and a matte brown grip near the top of the handle.
Measures 12.5" tall, 7.25" diameter, 8.5" from spout to tail
Jaru, a prominent California-based pottery company founded in 1950 by Jack and Ruth Hirsh in Culver City, produced iconic mid-century modern decorative ceramics.
