A very good set of nine matching Rose Medallion Chinese Export plates, in unusually good condition. Scenes alternate between court vignettes and shrub roses with birds and fruits. Colors are bright, decoration is well painted, no damage, only very minor surface wear.
Typical artisanal irregularities to the porcelain and glazes, as made. No marks to the backs which dates them prior to 1890. It is very uncommon to find matching sets in such good condition. Suitable for use or display.
