Set of 6 original antique Mammal prints published in England in the 1890s. They were part of a natural history folio including Mammals, Birds and Insects. The prints were produced through chromolithography, a type of lithograph process that used multiple impressions to build up the colors on the prints.
Each print measures 7.5 x 4.5 inches. The Mammals shown on the prints include:
Top Row (L to R): Mountain Hare, Roe Deer, Harvest Mouse
Bottom Row (L to R): Leopard Cat, Common Otter, Weasel
These are original antique Mammal prints - not reproductions. They are in excellent condition with no imperfections. Each print is carefully packaged in an archival plastic sleeve with backing board, and shipped in a cardboard flat mailer with cardboard insert. The prints include a certificate with additional information about the series.
