This gravy boat appears to be early to … Read more We are selling this unusual Chinese or Japanese export porcelain gravy boat. This gravy boat appears to be early to mid 20th century. It may have been a Chinese blank decorated with the enamel decoration of goldfish and fish in Japan, or entirely created in Japan which is the direction we lean. The style of decoration is very typically Chinese with goldfish and carp as well as other fish.11

Condition: Some surface wear to the gilding. Some small areas of loss to the enamel. Some small chips on the rim of the drip tray.
