This is a pair of Hubley Cast Iron Spanish Galleon Bookends. Add a little bit of history and nautical flare to your bookshelves.
The Hubley Manufacturing Company was first incorporated in 1894 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania by John Hubley. The company started making figural work in 1909. These book ends date to the 1920s. Hubley’s work was known for their unique casting process that got iron to 3000 degrees and were painted in cheerful colors.
