The design features alternating landscape and textile-inspired panels surrounding a central medallion rendered in underglaze cobalt blue with iron red and green enamel decoration.

Cranes in flight—symbols of longevity and good fortune in Japanese iconography—appear within several reserves, framed by intricate geometric and floral motifs. The palette and panel arrangement are characteristic of export Imari porcelain created for Western markets in the late nineteenth century.

The underside displays traditional brushwork decoration along the rim, consistent with Arita kiln production. At 16 inches in diameter, the piece functions as a decorative charger suited for wall display, cabinet presentation, or use within layered table settings.
