The object is made of delicate metal wirework, cut and pressed floral motifs, and gilt decorative elements. The overall form resembles a throne or reliquary seat. The red, tufted velvet cushion at the center was typically used to hold symbolic items such as a wedding crown, bridal wreath, or religious medals. The condition of the textile shows significant age, with wear consistent with 19th-century fabric. The surrounding small mirrors, now oxidized and showing loss of silvering, were often included to symbolize purity, eternity, and divine reflection. Painted floral decorations on some mirrors confirm its decorative and symbolic function.
