Murano glass bowl made using the Sommerso technique with a fantastic organic shape. The bowl has a free-form, sculptural shape, with edges folded inwards to create a sinuous, asymmetrical profile. The Sommerso technique consists of layering different colours of glass to create an effect of depth. Here we see an inner core in an amber/honey shade, enveloped by an outer layer of smoked glass (dark brown). Thanks to the thickness of the crystal and the curvature of the edges, the light is refracted in such a way that the colours appear to be suspended within each other, creating warm and enveloping shades.
