The bodies are clad in vertical mosaic panels of iridescent abalone shell, creating a dramatic play of color — shifting tones of violet, emerald, cobalt, and rose depending on the light. The sculptural tapered form, paired with the clean cylindrical bases and smooth polished lids, reflects the strong design language of mid-century Mexican decorative arts.

The sugar pot retains its original domed lid with abalone cabochon finial, while the creamer features a sculptural integrated handle and subtle pouring lip. Both pieces are fully hallmarked:
