The design is a very nice example of Dutch minimalist modernism, defined by its architectural clarity and strong geometric presence. The chairs feature a rigid cubic frame constructed from black lacquered metal tubing, forming a clean, open structure with precise lines and balanced proportions. Suspended within the frame are thick black saddle leather seat and back panels, creating a beautiful contrast between the industrial steel structure and the natural, tactile quality of the leather. The heavy leather develops a rich patina over time, enhancing the sculptural character of the design.
