Its chromed steel frame is crafted to suspend a sling of black cowhide, stretched taut with industrial springs and hooks.

Created during Mir’s brief but visionary tenure at Delmas as part of the ‘Filo’ collection, this piece is among the few realized works by the self-taught French sculptor—who approached furniture with the precision of an artist and the instincts of an engineer. A design that is rare, radical, and undeniably collectible.

Condition: Great vintage condition. Retains its original black cowhide sling, with minor wear consistent with age and use. The chromed steel frame shows scattered oxidation throughout.
