Covered in an old (if … Read more 1920's Single Deep Scallop Back Upholstered Armchair. Unusual well-proportioned armchair from the early 20th Century. Covered in an old (if not original) character aubergine velvet. Original bobbin turned oak legs, beech and oak frame with original traditional upholstery. The armchair is a firm sit with a solid/fixed seat, we don’t think it had a loose cushion but it could have. We carefully select very original armchairs ensuring the fabrics and upholstery are in as good as condition as we can find. The upholstery is completely original and has been deep steam cleaned by our workshop team.

Please note the upholstery is original and does not need to comply with current UK fire regulations (production pre January 1st 1950).

Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
