between 1930 and 1950, this functional yet classic style (often referred to as the "werkbund style" or late reform architecture) was widespread.

over the decades, cast copper develops a dark brown to greenish patina (patina) that protects the metal.
cathedral glass was used, which features slight irregularities or air pockets and refracts light particularly softly.

each lamp requires 1 incandescent bulb with an e27 base (e26 in the u.s.).
the electrical components are in very good condition and can be used worldwide at 110 to 250 volts.
the porcelain sockets have a rated power of up to 500 watts.
the metal housing of the socket bears the marking “drp,” the abbreviation for “deutsches reichspatent” (german imperial patent)—an indication of its age, which predates 1945.
