The quality is excellent this has a lovely and very useful design. Designed for duets at a piano, this is very useful as a storage bench for an entry way, window seat or even at the foot of a bed. There are beautiful grain patterns and colour tones all sides, the front and back are finished identically, so it can be used as a free standing item. The upholstered seat lifts up to reveal a useful storage compartment, this has a finely turned stretchered base, a beautiful pierced and carved shape to the sides.

We have had this re-polished and the seat has been re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. The condition is excellent for its age, with just some minor wear beneath the polish here and there, commensurate for age.
