The first fiberglass Eames chairs were produced by Zenith Plastics. The early Zenith shells are distinctive for their high fiber content and larger, more substantial rubber shock mounts, a translucent quality and an embedded rope at the edge of the fiberglass seat. RAR was the designation given chairs with the rocking base.
An icon of Mid-Century design, this rocker is all original and has all of the most desirable features: the lemon yellow shell has the rope edge and Zenith label, the black wire base has runners with a beautiful patina.
