This walnut floor lamp by Laurel Lamp Company combines three functions in one elegant form: a turned round base supports a square-section upright that carries both an integrated side table and a bentwood magazine rack, all topped with a cream shade. The bent plywood magazine pocket is a particularly nice detail, sharing the warm walnut tone of the rest of the piece. Laurel Lamp Co. of Newark, New Jersey was among the better American lamp makers of the period, known for clean modernist forms and quality materials.
The lamp measures 59 inches tall by 18 inches wide by 15 inches deep, with the shade measuring 23 inches in diameter and showing some light staining.
