The posts are deeply turned with large acorn finials sitting on square plinth feet, while the embossed iron panels carry repeating foliate patterns that speak equally to Spanish Colonial and British Colonial traditions. The wood species is unconfirmed but the density and grain suggest oak or a comparable hardwood.

The bed measures 65.25 inches wide by 89 inches long by 55.25 inches tall at the headboard and 47.5 inches at the footboard, with side rails reaching 20.5 inches tall. The interior accommodates a standard queen mattress at 60 by 83.5 inches. Condition is good with general rustic wear throughout and one small hole in a side rail as shown in the photographs.
