A vibrant Murano glass bowl produced in Italy during the late 1960s, executed in layered turquoise opaline glass using the sommerso technique. Semi-opaque blue glass appears suspended within a clear crystal exterior, creating a luminous, aquatic depth that shifts subtly with changes in light and viewpoint. The bowl is formed in a softly squared, organic shape with gently rounded corners and thick, polished walls. The substantial weight of the glass and the clarity of the encased layers emphasize the material qualities of Murano production during the mid-20th century, when colour, transparency, and mass were explored as expressive design elements. The turquoise opaline core transitions gradually in tone, ranging from deeper blue at the centre to paler, milky hues toward the edges, lending the piece a calm yet visually dynamic presence. The smooth, glossy surface and carefully finished rim underscore the precision of its manufacture. Measuring approximately 15 cm x 14 cm with a height of 5.5 cm, the bowl is well suited for use as a decorative object or centrepiece, while remaining refined enough for intimate display within a curated modern or mid-century interior. The piece is in very good vintage condition, with minimal signs of age or use. The form, colour palette, and sommerso construction are consistent with Murano glass associated with Antonio Da Ros for Gino Cenedese during the late 1960s. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
