About the poster: For the exhibition Imagine : La ballade pour la paix de John & Yoko at Musée des Beaux-Arts in Montréal. Exhibition materials were curated by Yoko from her archives of film, photo's, and mementos from their 1969 Bed-In at the Queen Elizabeth hotel- also in Montréal.
About the Artists:
Yoko Ono b.1933, primarily practices in conceptual and performance art through music, film, and social advocacy. Once Married to John Lennon (b.1940) in 1969, they began their protest against wars, as seen in this poster. Up until this point John Lennon was a lead singer for The Beatles, and continued his Musical career solo along with continued activism with Yoko Ono until his death in 1980.
