Restored Scandinavian-style bar cart or serving trolley by Vanson, made in the United Kingdom in the 1950s.
The two-tiered cart consists of sapele mahogany surfaces with tapered mahogany legs. The main surface expands with a drop-leaf mechanism, nearly doubling its width when the leaves are deployed.
Has the original wheels and the expansion mechanism functions perfectly. The horizontal surfaces have been fully refinished. The frame and legs were lightly sanded and re-lacquered, a process which returns lustre to the wood but does not fully mitigate every imperfection.
Note: the height measurement below represents the top of the main surface. It does not account for an additional 0.75 inches by which the leg posts protrude above the surface.
