The underside bears the Phillips retailer mark referencing 155 New Bond Street and 358–359 Oxford Street, London. Historical directories show Phillips operating at these addresses during the mid-to-late Victorian period (approximately 1860–1889), which helps date this piece.

The plate features a hand-painted cherub motif at the center, surrounded by richly gilded panels decorated with delicate hand-painted pink roses. The ivory ground and elaborate gold decoration reflect the refined style of decorative cabinet plates popular in Victorian interiors.

The underside also shows a faint impressed crown mark consistent with Worcester porcelain manufacture, indicating the porcelain blank was likely produced by Worcester and retailed through Phillips’ London showroom.
