At a substantial 18 inches in diameter, this oversized piece was produced c.1927-1937 on Santa Catalina Island using the factory's signature native red clay.

The charger is finished in the iconic Toyon Red glaze—a vibrant, high-gloss orange-red named after the berries of a native California tree. This example features the desirable "orange peel" glaze texture and characteristic hand-dipped variations that distinguish early island production from later mainland pieces.

This piece is in excellent vintage condition, showing character consistent with 90+ years of age.
Authentication: Features a clear, original impressed "CATALINA ISLAND" mark on the base.
