This is a framed & matted photograph of a man walking with a crutch on the Great Call of China taken by my late mother, Sharon Boysel. Sharon was a photographer throughout her life, creating many mixed medium pieces using black and white photographs she took. You can see the great wall extending far behind the main figure, demonstrating the immensity of the structure. While my parents were divorced, my father loved this photograph, so it became part of his collection. I inherited this piece (and a very large collection of Asian Art, also listed on Chairish) from him. I am hoping it catches someones eye out there, as it did my father's. I would keep this sentimental piece were I not moving abroad.
The close up of the photo has a bit of a glare off the glass, which is not present in the photo. The photo is framed by a beautiful mahogany colored frame and the photo is set on a white mat, covered by plexiglass. I am not exactly sure when this was taken, I believe in the late 1980's.
Measurement of the frame 19.6 x 22.75 X 1 inch.
