A Antique Chinese Export Canton Porcelain Soup Tureen, Circa 1830's
Made in the "Canton" region of China, what is now modern day Guangzhou. Made for the American market, and exported to the USA circa 1820-1840's
Blue decoration, known as the Canton pattern. Pig shaped side handles, and a scrolled lid final
Size: 13 3/4” wide, 8 1/2” deep, and 8 1/2” tall.
Condition: small chip on the edge, glaze roughness from the manufacturing process. No cracks. Use and wear marks associated with age. see pictures.
