Through the hand-blown glass process, matter becomes gesture and trace, recording time and action within the material itself.
Each piece is inherently unique due to the nature of the making process. Rather than serial production, Ribes develops a continuity of language, where function remains present but secondary to the sculptural presence of the work in space.
This piece belongs to a contemporary research on glass as an artistic medium, detached from decorative tradition and oriented toward a sculptural reading.
