It is crafted from wood, such as linden tree, and finished with lacquer. It features intricate details using gold leaf techniques for halos and decorations. These eggs symbolize "new life" and have been used as traditional gifts since the time of the earliest Russian Czars.

The size is 7 1/2 inches on the wooden stand, and 4 1/4 inches wide. It is signed by the artist. The colors are burgundy, green, and gold.

This egg is in very nice condition. There are a couple minor blemishes from the creation, like small bubbles in the lacquer. Please see the photos.
