This painting is 18th or early 19th century. The scene is that of something like the Triumph of Venus or the Birth of Venus. The painting is executed in very unusual soft palette like it is a Grisaille Modello for another piece or after a piece. The style is possibly French, Similar to the composition by Boucher, but also has an Italianate Tiepolo essence to it. Could be a very important piece in need of conservation.

Condition: Painting has some issues including heavy surface wear with some overcleaning. Canvas has been laid down on a cardboard and 1/8” backing. Frame has significant losses and is falling apart.
