In a Folk Art tradition, this pair tell a narrative story of a marriage proposal with the individual titles, "The Question" & "The Answer". The couple is stylized in period dress facing one another and are surrounded by motifs of a lamp post and trailing foliage.

The textile handiwork is matted with a very wide neutral, linen like fabric in a warm beige/tan color which complements the artwork. The large matting is intentional helping to create a lot of negative space to elevating the focus of the handiwork. The delightful handiwork is inset slightly with a silver tone beaded edge surrounding it. The frame is a simple wood frame with a light antiqued bronze finish and detailed beading. Haning hardware on back for ease in hanging.The pieces are custom framed by a high-end, well-known framer in Houston, Texas.

The style leans toward mid-century revival folk art, borrowing from earlier 18th–19th century pastoral and romantic imagery, yet could also lend towards a Colonial Revival, Early American, Primitive or Traditional interiors as well. I hope you'll make this pair "keepers" in your home!
