While … Read more A handsome 1960s two-door walnut cabinet by Raymond Sobota for John Stuart. Sobota was a prominent Michigan furniture designer. While he designed for Mount Airy and John Stuart, Inc., Sobota was most widely known for his partnership with Century Furniture. He created the iconic Chin Hua collection, now trending among Mid-Century and modern enthusiasts. The hard-to-find piece has a rectangular shape with a central panel flanked by two glass doors. The doors are mounted with distinctive turquoise enameled pulls. Block feet support the cabinet. Maker's production marks are shown on the back of the cabinet. No John Stuart maker's marks were found. The cabinet has substantial storage for books or art displays. Dimensions: 53.5" H X 48.5 W X 11.5" D. See less
