Baroque period stone top table from the 19th century, Sweden. This impressive table features a gray stone top with unique natural matrix.
The base has one drawer and rests on heavy turned oak legs and trestle base.
The black painted finish shows age-related wear and distress revealing the natural oak below, especially along the base.
Cracks are seen in particular on the legs & base, scratches, wear, and nicks that reflect over 200 years of use. There are also signs of dried wormholes which do not impact the integrity or function of the table.
This table will make an impressive entry console table or small kitchen island. It has been restored and is stable, ready for use.
All scratches, cracks, nicks, distress, etc. are commensurate with age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this exceptional table from the early 1800's.
