This plate features a beautifully hand-painted traditional Chinese lady holding a fan, dressed in flowing robes and surrounded by butterflies, florals, and landscape elements. The scene is rendered in a rich multicolor palette including pink, red, blue, green, and gold, framed by an intricate decorative border.

The design is titled “Pao-Chai” and comes from the “Beauties of the Red Mansion” collection. It was created by master artisan Zhao Huimin and produced as a limited edition artistic porcelain plate in Jingdezhen.

The underside features Chinese calligraphy describing the work along with the mark of the China Arts & Crafts Import and Export Company. The plate is marked as an artistic decorative object and dated 1986.

Jingdezhen has been the most important porcelain center in China for centuries and remains famous worldwide for its craftsmanship.

A beautiful decorative piece ideal for display on a stand or wall.
