This fabulous trefoil top pedestal cricket-style table was crafted by Butler Specialty Furniture sometime in the 1960s. The look-and-feel of this beauty is patterned after a traditional cricket table, one of England’s most popular and practical pieces of furniture. The classic English table traditionally takes the form of a rounded top (in this case, trefoil shape) standing on three tripod legs united by either an under-tier shelf or stretcher.

This beauty measures 20¼” x 14” x 14” H/W/D; interior tabletop 13” x 13” W/D (width and depth are interchangeable due to the trefoil shape of the tabletop); weight approximately 12 lbs. Crafted using ash wood with fruit wood veneers. Stain and lacquered finish in medium and dark walnut hues with golden undertones which gives off a gorgeous glow. In excellent condition with age-appropriate wear; stenciled Butler mark is located on the underside of the base.

A cricket table is an incredibly practical and stylish table that will work beautifully alongside an arm chair or between two side chairs and complement most any design aesthetic. This table’s routered moulding accentuates the loveliness of the tabletop’s trefoil shape, and if using as a drinks table, the moulding will keep anything from sliding off. Three spool and ring-turned column legs are joined together by a central moulded edge triangular pedestal base which adds a great deal of structural integrity to the table in addition to the sophisticated finished look you see in the photos. With its transitional look-and-feel, this beauty will complement most any style and the trefoil-shaped tabletop adds an additional level of visual and design interest to the conversation!
