1969 abstract figurative lithograph by Hungarian artist Gabor Pasztor, numbered 50/13, signed and dated. The composition features stylized human and animal figures rendered in bold black against a rich terracotta orange ground, with a large textured sun and simplified forms that give the work a graphic, symbolic quality.
Pasztor was associated with the Makó Artists’ Colony in Hungary, and his work was included in the Imagine Tactics exhibition at the Ludwig Museum of Contemporary Art in Budapest. This framed and double matted lithograph is a strong example of late 1960s Hungarian modernist graphic art, combining figurative imagery, geometric forms, and a limited black and terracotta color palette.
