This is a lovely set of antique French linen towels, each hand embroidered with the initials "JS."
Four of the vintage linens have a classic Grecian key border design and three have an architectural block design.
According to the Institute of Classical Architecture the Grecian key (or meander) "is a timeless, rectilinear motif featuring continuous, interlocking right-angle lines symbolizing infinity, eternal flow, and unity."
Each towel measures approximately 39 1/4" x 20".
The antique linen towels are in good condition showing wear consistent with their age and use.
