This striking stoneware vase is an exceptional example of Arne Bang’s early studio work from the 1930s—an era in which he developed the richly textured glazes and sculptural forms that would define his legacy in Danish ceramic design. Features: - Large, imposing form with a gently tapering silhouette - Distinctive Art Deco expression combined with Bang’s organic, handmade sensibility - Signature volcanic, mottled glaze in deep green and earthy charcoal tones - Subtle raised floral motifs characteristic of Bang’s early experimentation - One-of-a-kind piece crafted in his own studio, not factory production A rare, museum-quality example of Arne Bang’s early stoneware and an outstanding decorative statement piece for collectors of Scandinavian design, Art Deco ceramics, or unique studio pottery. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
