A substantial hand-painted Oud Delft lidded ginger jar rendered in traditional cobalt blue on white tin-glazed earthenware. Standing 14.5 inches tall, the baluster form is richly adorned with scrolling florals and foliage, framed by banded shoulder and foot borders that reflect classic Dutch Delft design language.
The painterly brushwork reveals tonal layering and confident line quality, hallmarks of mid-20th-century Dutch faience production. The underside bears the Oud Delft workshop marking with pattern/shape code and decorator’s signature.
