Birdseye Maple and Faux Bamboo Commode by Claude Prio. Commode is fitted with three substantial drawers, each framed in intricately carved faux bamboo moldings and round wooden pulls. The facade is flanked by protruding corner posts turned to simulate bamboo culms, terminating in ribbed feet. The warm honey tone of the birds-eye-maple mixed with the faux bamboo provides structural integrity and tonal contrast. There is a maker's mark with the name of of 'Claude Piro' on the reverse panel.
