A Beautiful antique circa 1890s silver plated teapot from the Astor House in New York City. The Astor House was the Astor family‘s first foray into hotels, it opened in 1836 and was considered for decades to be the most prestigious hotel in the country. A wonderful piece of early New York hotel history! In excellent condition, no damage with minor tarnish. Marked with the hotel name on the base and crest on the front.
