An elegant early 20th-century Empire Bavaria cabinet plate by Rudolf Wachter & Co., Germany.
This piece features a striking Art Nouveau gilt border composed of stylized botanical motifs rendered in matte and burnished gold against a crisp white porcelain ground. The design is restrained yet graphic — a refined example of Jugendstil-influenced European porcelain intended for display rather than daily service.
Marked with the R.C. crown over crossed batons and “Empire Bavaria.”
Circa 1910–1930.
