The piece features a beautiful, dense network of all-over crazing (fine glaze surface lines). This deep crackle creates a sought-after tea-stained patina that confirms its mid-Victorian era origin. Noted Wear: There are some slight, minor chips located discreetly on the underside of the scrolled handles and the underplate has age-related & kiln process related spots on the bottom. All of these are not visible when the tureen is standing upright and do not detract from the display quality or structural integrity of the piece. It's a stunning example of English ironstone with character-rich weathering that only comes with a century and a half of history. Please view all photos before purchase. Thank you! less
