The design combines a simple, geometric form with the subtle decorativeness characteristic of mid-century design.

The composition is based on the contrast of shapes:

a solid, simple base, a vertical, minimalist support,

and a decorative, solid sphere placed on the horizontal part of the structure.

The form is economical but extremely expressive. The combination of a cuboid with a perfect sphere creates a harmonious, sculptural whole. The supports look like small art objects — even without books, they are an elegant decorative element.

Made of solid wood in a warm, honey shade. The surface is smooth, with natural grain and a delicate patina that testifies to the age of the object. The wood is in very good condition, with subtle signs of use typical of the era.
