Bold and sculptural collar necklace handcrafted in Taxco, Mexico, featuring a dramatic fan of tapered sterling silver "spikes" accented with inlaid malachite gemstones. The articulated design drapes fluidly around the neckline, balancing strong geometric form with elegant movement.
A striking example of Mexican modernist design, celebrated for its architectural lines and collectible artistry. The collar features cylindrical and spherical beads, all strung and finished with a cast sterling silver, secure clasp marked, "Mexico" "TN-24" and "925".
Created by a metalsmith whose registered number with the Taxco governmental list is "TN-24". The craft of metal smithing in Taxco, Mexico is well known and well-regarded, with some artisans having risen to acclaim as superstars in their field internationally. Los Castillo, Margot de Taxco and Antonio Pinedo are three designers whose artistry and collectibility have risen to the highest echelon.
