Titled "L'Eglise" (The Church) by the French artist Bernard Buffet, originally printed by Atelier Mourlot in Paris in 1967. Lithograph Print by Bernard Buffet from "Bernard Buffet Lithographs", the English version of "Bernard Buffet Oeuvre Grave", which is a catalog of Buffets lithographs published between 1952 and 1966. The lithographs were printed by renowned printer Mourlot in Paris (1967) and published by the Tudor Publishing Company. We have another black and white Bernard Buffet Litho Print in a separate listing that is framed the same and go very well together.
Bernard Buffet (1928–1999) was a French painter, illustrator and print maker known for his distinctive style, characterized by a somber color palette and a sharp, angular approach to form. Buffet was associated with the Expressionist "Miserabilist" movement, with his works often depicting bleak, melancholic scenes, including landscapes, portraits, and still-lifes.
