Stunning turn of the century Edwardian umbrella and cane stand. The frame is lacquered brass with some underlying oxidation spotting that has made its way through the protective surface over the years. The lower basin is painted aluminum. Aluminum became popular at the tail end of the 1800s when its price dropped below cast iron, and that is what I believe is the key to dating this piece.
Function meets beauty with this umbrella and cane stand. Lovely for an entryway or mudroom.
