The platter features a water scene with oriental buildings, trees and flowers. The rim border is decorated with a wide floral and scroll band. The corners of the rim are scalloped. The base is marked, "J. & G. Alcock, Circassia, Cobridge". This mark is for circa 1839 - 1846. SIZE: 16 1/4 inches by 12 3/4 inches. CONDITION: Very Good. There is age discoloration on the reverse side, there are two hairline marks (as shown in photo). This is a heavy, thick old platter -- great collector's piece. See less
