Traditional Colonial Revival or Chippendale-inspired (popular in American furniture from the 1920s–1960s), with strong neoclassical touches.
The serpentine arched crest with outward-scrolling volutes and the central carved cartouche featuring draped swags are classic motifs echoing 18th-century designs.
Rich, warm mahogany with original matte finish. The frame is solidly built, with the beaded border running continuously around the inner edges for added refinement.
Minor wear consistent with age and use. The veneer has been cut out on back not affecting the front. A sliver of veneer missing front right. A small amount of mirror defects/dust shown in glass upper left corner.
